we all have lazy days

Very recently my auntie died, we planned to go to the funeral but as it was 6 hours drive away i had to meet my parents at their house at 6 pm. You can imagine driving through the city at that time was a complete nightmare. I was running late with all the traffic and noticed my red petrol light was on (meaning there was no petrol in my car) This is one of those things i HATE doing. I find it a real chore and i tend to procrastinate although i know i shouldn't. Knowing this is a stressful time for all the family after the death of my auntie i really didn't want to be late. It is quite a distance to my parents house but i just thought i would make it so carried on without filling up.

The funeral was emotional, we are all such a close family and there is nothing more important to me than my family. It was a lovely service though and it was good to see all my cousins. After the funeral we went to visit my grandfathers grave, had a bite to eat and then set off for another 6 hour journey. We got back to my parents house about midnight. I remembered about my fuel tank being empty and decided i would go straight to a petrol station. I got about a hundred yards away from the pump when my engine cut out. I couldn't even roll to the pump as it was up hill. I was SO close but yet SO far. I called my brother and told him to come and push me to the pump. A Couple of minutes later my whole family came round in the 4x4 my dad owns. My mom was crying with laughter and i laughed too at the ridiculous situation i got myself into. I couldn't help but feel so honoured that my family all came running to my rescue. I steered the car as my mom dad and 2 brothers pushed the car to the pump in the pitch black at by this time half past midnight.

I made myself (and my family) so much more work than needed by being lazy and procrastinating. It is absolutely my own fault that happened and i have now learned to fill up my tank no matter how much i cant be bothered and how late I'm running and how bad the traffic is. It was really funny though i'm sure we will all remember it :-)

15 steps to success

Eva's 15 steps to success. These things are all what i see necessary qualities and skills you must have before deciding you want to achieve financial freedom and fire your boss.
Here we go...........

15 steps to success....step 1

1. Believe in yourself!! If you don't no one else will. If you don't have belief you don't have anything. Whether you believe you will succeed or you believe you will fail..... you are right.

15 steps to success...step 2

2. Study! Be sure to have all the necessary knowledge.

15 steps to success...step 3

3. Seize the moment! If you see an opportunity - grab it, embrace it, take it.

15 steps to success...step 4

4. Take a risk! Get ready and jump. If you don't take a risk, you don't even stand a chance.

15 steps to success.....step 5

5. Live up to your name! Do what you say you are going to do. If you make promises, keep them.

15 steps to success....step 6

6. Be brave! its OK to be afraid, but you must do it anyway.

15 steps to success...step 7

7. Keep calm! Even when it seems hopeless. You need to be rational and not lose control of your emotions

15 steps to success.....step 8

8. Always be up for surprises! Sometimes things don't go according to plan. You have to be ready for surprises and go with the change.

15 steps to success....step 9

9. Network! Network with others. Especially people in the same situation as you. You can share ideas with one another or just take comfort in knowing you are not alone in your journey and others know how you feel, and share your drive and determination.

15 steps to success.....step 10

10. Rest! Make sure you are always well rested to enable you to think straight and have a clear head.

15 steps to success....step 11

11. Exercise! A healthy body equals a healthy mind. Exercise can help clear your mind. It can inspire new ideas or give an escape from everything else. I know when I'm swimming, all i am thinking about is breathing. This to me is a rest from the world and an escape. All there is, is me and the water.

15 steps to success....step 12

12. Relationships, keep in touch with loved ones. You wouldn't be who you are without them. To me you can not be successful without people who love you. I know my strength certainly comes from the powerful women in my life.

15 steps to success....step 13

13. Express yourself creatively! Think of new and exciting ways to make your business work.

15 steps to success....step 14

14. Fun! take a little break and have a bit of fun every day.

15 steps to success.....step 15

15. Laugh! Its important that if you make a mistake, that you can laugh at yourself. The sooner you laugh, the sooner you can move on.

permission to rant?!

OK a little rant from me to you, then we can get on with our lives.
I get soooo many messages on facebook, from people, without even introducing themselves or asking about me. Trying to pitch their business. Telling me it is the best compensation plan with the best products etc etc then a link..... I'm sorry but as if i am going to click on your link. I don't know who you are, where you are from. You have no idea about me and you are not interested.
The likelihood of someone clicking on your link after a 3 paragraph spiel about how your products are the best is very small. I have stopped reading the message after 2 lines, that's if i actually open it in the first place.
The idea people is to NETWORK rather than PITCH. Get to know the party goers, find out about them, build relationships and then ONLY IF THEY ASK should you send a link or more info on what you have to offer. Quite frankly i'm not interested in what you have to offer unless i know and trust you, likewise i expect you feel the same about me. So stop being so forward and lets relax, have fun and network in this party place!!

tear jerker

I have been doing a lot of self development and not too long ago i finished the book chicken soup for the soul. It was an easy read and really hit some heart strings in places. It really gave me goosebumps at times, made me laugh at times and made me cry at times. I would like to share a particular short story that made me cry..........
it called.....
On Courage.
"So you think I'm courageous?" she asked
"yes i do."
"perhaps i am. But that's because Ive had some inspiring teachers. ill tell you about one of them. Many years ago, when i worked as a volunteer at Stanford Hospital, i got to know a little girl called Liza who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her five year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. the doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the boy if he would be willing to give blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying "yes ill do it if it will save Liza"
As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the colour returning to her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "will i start to die right away?"
"being young the boy misunderstood the doctor, he thought he was going to have to give her all his blood.
"yes Ive learned courage," she added, "because Ive had inspiring teachers."

This is one of many stories like this. What an amazing little 5 year old boy. Who would take a deep breathe and die for his sisters wellness without question. God bless
